Hand Painted Gourds. Many shapes and sizes on hand. Most requests for special gourds are done without too much grumbling on my part..All gourds are photographed without the final finish so that the finish does not reflect as glare so you can see the details .Due to increased fuel prices, my shipping costs have gone up substantially. As you can see, I love Kokopelli...Today Kokopelli is often a symbol of fertility. Kokopelli was an actual person, a rain maker , who traveled with a pack on his back ( hence the humpbacked portrayal) his flute, which he used to call up the rain clouds. He also wore a head dress of Red Macaw feathers. His route ranged from Central America up into the Four Corners region of the US. It was party time when he arrived as the rain he called up on his flute insured that crops would grow . Usually about nine months after his visit, there was a population explosion in the tribe, due to the drinking and celebrating his arrival, hence the symbol of fertilty.

BY POPULAR REQUEST: a limited number of signed and numbered prints are now available. The original contrary woman was a self portrait done when I was not in the best of places. For a few years I hung it in my window looking out to keep pesky neighborhood kids out of my backyard when I was at work. The interest in this painting has totally blown me away.. so by popular request, I am now doing a series. This should be self explanatory, but to enlarge an image click on it up to two times.

Odds and Ends, Mostly Odds. Once inna while I just gotta do something different.. Right now, I am on a rooster kick..It's really nice waking up in a new world each day. Previous works sold , given away, recycled,or stolen by my children.Well perhaps stolen is too strong. I suppose we could say liberated? or conned or cajoled ? Also, all this stuff comes in really handy around Christmas and birthdays.. I m not as silly as everyone thinks I am.. ha ha ha..
