Ah, the dreaded blurb about the artist's accomplishments. I really hate this part, because you see, I believe my job is to paint the pictures and your job is to buy them. The people who buy my art are the ones who shop at those high dollar southwest furniture stores and faint when they see the prices for southwest art and gourds.

My only claim to fame is that I have sold more paintings than Van Gogh did while he was alive. I have won a couple of blue ribbons at some county fairs if that impresses anyone.

I started painting at a very early age but was never encouraged, as it was a frivolous thing to be doing. My po white trash family thought I should be learning to cook and iron and other womanly things to insure that I could catch a husband. Sadly, they never told me what to do with said husband after I caught him.

I am what is known in the art community as an outsider artist, someone who has never had any formal art instruction, but paints anyway.

I have been known to go into labor and consequently to the hospital with emerald green paint on the bottom of my feet. For some reason that was a source of amusement to the doctor and the OB nurse at the time. Most of my clothes, besides having lots of white cat hair on them, have a few splashes of paint. I just love making fashion statements.

I paint in acrylic, for two reasons. It doesn't take a year to dry and I am allergic to oil paints. My work is mostly done on canvas board or masonite and occasionally old wood I have rescued from someone's trash heap.

Making wreaths is another favorite of mine and they are custom made according to what you want on them.

I currently reside in the rolling hills of North Texas.

Now down to business! No Paypal, good old United States Post Office money orders or checks made out to me work just fine. Commissioned work is half down of the agreed upon price, before I start, with the remainder due upon completion, before shipping. I will email you a picture for approval and you get one re paint.

I have set my prices for each piece to include shipping..

If you see something you really like, make me an offer. If I am feeling financially embarrassed more than usual that day, you may get a deal. If you see something you like, but want it in a different color, email me and we can do something to match your color scheme.
